BOFRA Series - Kettlewell 19th June 2005
Gary Bastow made a belated start to the British Open Fell Runners Association (BOFRA) Series on Sunday 19th at Kettlewell. This was his first race of the season as a calf injury had kept him out for 5 weeks, although he had “done tons on the mountain bike” to maintain his fitness. His dedication paid off with his best-ever-run - 9th overall, 3rd Veteran Man and 1st M45 in 13:51, just a minute and a half behind the winner and beating all in his category, setting him up for a most competitive summer!
