BMC Meeting - Manchester - 19th July 2005
Ken Harker made a long journey to Longford Park Stadium, Stretford near Manchester on Tuesday 19th July to compete in a British Milers Club (BMC) meeting and came away with not just a season’s best but his best time for a couple of years. He finished 4th in the Open A race in a time of 2:00.38 and would probably have cracked the 2 minute barrier if he hadn’t been baulked in the home straight. His confidence was boosted even further when his Coach joked that he wasn’t past it and that it was his best race for a long time, tactically and athletically.
