Shildon Track and Field Open Meeting 16th April 2006

The Anne Marie Readshaw Memorial Open Track and Field Meeting at Shildon’s stadium 2000 on 16th April got the season well under way and saw some excellent, early season performances from Richmond and Zetland athletes. Ruth Hill performed to her full potential, clocking no less than two personal bests in the Under 15 Girls 100m and 200m sprints in 12.8 and 26.5 seconds respectively. Not only did she take the title in the 200m event, but has now become the holder of the club record for the Under 15 Girls 100m. Her winter training is really paying dividends and there is surely more to come from this athlete over the course of the season.
