European Masters Athletics Championships - Poznan - 27th July
Ken Harker competed in the European Master’s Athletics Championships in Poznan, Poland on 27th July, having flown out from the UK a few days earlier. He was taking part in the V35 800m event and finished 4th in his heat in an excellent time of 2.05.09, missing qualifying for the further rounds by only one place. Ken said “I was disappointed not to make it through, but came down with a cold a few days before which just took it out of me, these things happen and at that standard you have to be 100% fit. I will be back next year and will probably compete in the 1500m at Helsinki in March and Italy in September.”
