Young members Richard & Zetland Harriers visited York on the 10th of September competing at the Track on Sunday 10th September. The good turn out by the girls meant that athletes took part in 75 m, 100m, 200m, 600m, 800m & long jump. Ruth Hill run in the100m (13.0 sec) and 200m (26.8 sec) and came second in both events. Brogan Fraser was 8th in 100m in a time of 13.3 sec and 7th in 200m in a time of 28.4 sec.
Amy Coulson ran in the 800m and finished 7th in a time of 2:50:03 min, Matha Jones finished 14th in a time of 3:07:4 min.
In the long jump Amy jumped 3.32m, Charlotte Dinsdale jumped 3.86m and finished 3rd. Abbie Fletcher run the 75m (12.5 sec) and 600m (2:19:2) in the U11 race and finished 8th and 14th. The U15 girls also run in the relays and finished 5th in a time 56.5 sec. Well done girls.
The Veteran men took part in the Road Relays held at Sunderland on the 17th of September. Sunderland AC won on the day and Richmond and Zetland finished 6th team out of 19 so were very please with their performance. The course was over 1.7 miles and Jon Orange, Ken Harker, Ian Scott, Tad Zaranko & Taff Rogers made up the team.
Mark Scott was once again competing at the weekend. He took part in the Yorkshire Relays at the Don Valley Stadium in Barnleys in the U13 boy’s event. He came third in a time of 7:34. The winning time was 7:04 well done Mark.
News
The Club Committee has entered discussions with a local amenity centre in the Catterick area, hoping that the centre will become the Clubs new base in the area over the season. Will inform all members of the outcome in due course but things do look very promising.
