Fringe Shows

The Butterfly Effect. 2006.

"Can a butterfly flapping it's wings in the Amazon cause a Tornado in Texas"

Ian's most successful show at the fringe to date. 4 star review from Chortle.co.uk and praise from the fringe's most feared critic Kate Copstick.

In April 2007 Ian was commissioned by the lovely people at the BBC Comedy Unit in Manchester to make a radio pilot based on a section of the show. A story about a narcoleptic chimpanzee who passes out everytime he masturabtes. Carl Cooper helped write the script.

The Butterfly Effect Pilot was recorded on 16th April 2007 and starred the fantastic Jo Enright, James Quinn, me and some bloke called Dave Turquoise. The producer was Paul Hardy and he was assisted by the lovely Sally Harrison.

One Man Defective Story. 2007.

One Man Defective Story

Introducing the world's least respected detective.

Ian's least successful show at the fringe. Despite being described by Karen Dunbar as "Unmissable" it was just located in the wrong venue and sadly a lot of people did miss it..

The Great Big Comedy Picinc. 2003 onwards.

A compilation show Ian has produced and performed in since 2003 when it was first housed at The Pod - a giant space age tent. Since then it's been in various locations including a disused cinema and various pub basements.

In 2005 it became part of the Free Festival programme. A protest movement against the soaring costs for performers at one of the world's largest arts festivals.

In 2006 and 2007 it was a critics choice and got 4 star reviews in 3 weeks.

Over the years the Picnic has featured Greg Cook, Ashely Freize, Paul Betney, The Mighty Swob, Susan Vale, Rob Hallam, Dave Turquoise, Chris Roche and many others.

It's also incuded guest spots from Alan Carr, Jason Manford, Seymour Mace, Mick Ferry, Anvil Springstien and Alfie Joey.
