The Canon IIF is similar to the Canon IVSb, but without the top speed of 1/1000. The one-piece lever next to the rewind knob operates the optical finder which covers 50mm (F), 100mm (1 x) and 135mm (1.5 x) focal lengths. The baseplate is removable, to allow film loading. This model does not have flash synchronization for X. The Canon IIF does, however, have side mounted flash synchronisation, for use with a special bulb flash unit. A film type reminder is located in the film advance knob. The top of this camera has 'EP' engraving, which indicates that the camera was for sale to American forces personnel. The normal engraving is shown right. |
