The two-piece lever next to the rewind knob operates the optical finder, which covers 50mm (F), 100mm (1 x) and 135mm (1.5 x) focal lengths.

The baseplate is removable, to allow film loading.This model does not have flash synchronization.

The top of the camera has the following inscription:

A serial number appears to the right of this, in front of the flash shoe. The engraving was changed from Canon Camera Company Ltd. to Canon Camera Company Inc. early in 1951.
The engraving on the film advance and rewind knobs consists of a diamond pattern.
