This is the first FED to be fitted with a built in light meter. It is flash synchronized (1/30 for X and 1/15 for M) and has a self timer. Diopter adjustment is achieved by rotating the ring around the eyepiece on the back of the camera.

This model is similar to the FED 4 Type II. The Type II, however, has a lever wind, and the speed dial is smaller.
