Also known as the FED 4 Type B, this model is similar to the FED 4 Type I. The Type II, however, has a lever wind, and the speed dial is smaller. There are no strap lugs.

It is flash synchronized (1/30 for X and 1/15 for M) and has a self timer. Diopter adjustment is achieved by rotating the ring around the eyepiece on the back of the camera.

This model may be found with Cyrillic or Latin engraving. A small number are engraved "50 years cameras" on the top plate, in front of the flash shoe.

FED 4 Type ll cameras were sold by the German mail order company Quelle between 1971 and 1976. These were badged as the Revue 4 (see lower picture).

It is thought that a small number of FED 4 Type II models were sold in the U.S.A with 'TAXAL' engraving.
