The FED 5 series have flash synchronization via a contact in the flash shoe and also a contact on the back of the body. All have a built-in self timer. Diopter adjustment is achieved (on the 5 and 5B) by rotating the ring around the eyepiece on the back of the camera.

There are minor differences between the models:

• 5 has diopter adjustment, a film rewind knob and a lightmeter.

• 5B has diopter adjustmentand and a film rewind crank, but does not have a lightmeter.

• 5C has a lightmeter and a film rewind knob, but does not have diopter adjustment.

The FED 5C was a cheaper version, intended for the domestic market.

Note: The Cyrillic B is V in Latin and C is S
