The lens has a bayonet fitting, and this camera is therefore not strictly speaking a Leica copy. The Gamma II and III are very similar in appearance, however, although both have a Leica screw mount.
The focal plane shutter consists of two shaped metal plates and this accounts for the two bulges on the front of the body.
