This camera is synchronized for flash (M and X) at 1/20. Diopter adjustment is fitted. The Nicca Type - IIIS
was also produced, as the Tower - 3S, for Sears Roebuck.
The top plate has the the following inscription:
A serial number appears to the right of this engraving, in front of the flash shoe.

** HPR in Leica Copies gives the serial number range for this model as 53xxx to 58xxx. The top plate picture (above right) shows serial number 50002. I have also been informed of a Type - IIIS with Nikkor 2/50 and serial no. 59099.
