The Drug (Friend) has a combined viewfinder/rangefinder with frames for 50 and 85mm lenses, but no parallax correction. The rangefinder base is 43mm. Fitted with a self timer, it also has flash synchronisation (M and X at 1/30th).

This camera is fitted with a lever in the baseplate to facilitate rapid film advance (as found on the Canon VIT, VT deluxe etc). The back is hinged to allow film loading (film is transported in a reverse manner to normal - the film is inserted on the left, looking from the front).

A Drug 2 (a Drug with the addition of a selenium exposure meter) appeared in the early 1960's. It was never mass produced.
