How do you start and what do you need?

To start learning to drive, you just need to book your lessons - easy!!

BUT, before you go for your first lesson, there are a couple of things you need to sort out.....

First you need a Provisional Driving Licence. This you get by sending off a form from the Post Office along with a fee and a couple of passport size photographs. Read the notes on the form to make sure you get it right - it's not difficult, but you do need to get things in the right format. Your licence usually takes 2-3 weeks.

Whilst you are waiting for your licence to arrive so you can book your lessons, get your eyesight checked! It needs to be good enough to read a number plate at the distance given in the highway code for that style of number plate. Allow time in your plans to get new glasses if needed!
