Ickleton SocietyThe Ickleton Society is Ickleton's amenity society. All are welcome to join. More about the Ickleton Society Ickleton United CharitiesThe above charities (consisting of Ickleton Relief in Need and The Gertrude Homes) were registered with The Charity Commissioners in 1970. Their funds are required to be administered separately. They are responsible for maintaining two houses and three almshouses in the village. These are normally allocated to people who have or have had strong connections to Ickleton. We distribute, at Christmas, vouchers to the elderly and those in need. We are also, on occasions, able to help any village resident who are: “in conditions of need, hardship or distress”. The committee consists of The Chairman, Clerk and elected trustees and meets on average four times a year. Please address any correspondence to the Clerk in the first instance, Jocelyn Flitton at 1 Abbey Street.
