Photo ArchiveThe Ickleton Society has collected a significant number of historic photographs which feature both the village and its people. The collection has been acquired from three sources:
Usually the second approach is by far the most interesting, since original owners of the photographs often have information about occasions and people involved. Catalogue information for all the pictures in the collection can be found on-line - though currently not every photograph is. If you have any old photos or can throw light on the people or occasions shown, please let us know, so we can update the archive! The Ickleton Society GalleryThe Ickleton Society has compiled a comprehensive photo gallery which currently includes more than 600 images of Ickleton, its people and events spanning the period from the eighteenth century to the present. An associated database lists descriptions and dates, and this can be searched in entirety or selectively to find the pictures you are interested in. Aerial Photos - Spot your house! These photographs were taken during aerial surveys of the County in 1949 and 1962 respectively. As such, they provide a fascinating historical perspective on the village and its surroundings. The photographs are available for non-commercial use, but for any other purpose, permission must be obtained from Cambridgeshire County Council who hold the copyright. Downloads
