The first of a series of conceptual sketches of the famous characters created by Frank Herbert for his Dune saga.  Duke Leto Atreides (10140-10191), the last Duke of House Atreides to rule on Caladan.  He took the reigns of power at the age of 23, and would eventually preside over the change from Caladan to Arrakis.  An admirable and honourable man who believed in doing all he could for the cause of his House, all in the name of Atreides.  An inspirational leader of men who would wear the Ducal Ring for 28 turbulent years, and father of Paul Muad'Dib...
