Rededication of Astbury St Mary’s CE School
The Bishop of Chester spent the day with the children of
Astbury St Mary’s CE School on Friday 14 November.
In the morning Bishop Peter rededicated the school
building following internal alterations which provided additional space.
In the afternoon the children attended a special service in St Mary’s Church
with teachers, governors and parents. The service was led by the Head teacher,
Mrs Jenny Wagstaffe. The children made a presentation to the Bishop.The Diocesan
Director of Education, Jeff Turnbull, spoke during the service and told the
children how pleased he was to be with such special people on a wonderful
occasion.
