The United Baronies has its own virtual economy, in which citizens are encouraged to participate.

Currency

The national currency is the Gold Piece, which is divided into 7 Silver Pieces, each of which in turn is divided into 14 Bronze Pieces. For intermicronational transactions, the Gold Piece is converted into 10 Tiarni. Exchange rates are administered by the Intermicronational Currency Exchange Organisation (ICEO), of the United Baronies is a member.

Companies, Guilds and Shares

There are several companies in the United Baronies which offer various goods and services, and citizens are welcome to start their own. Shares in them are traded in the Coffee House stock exchange, located in the Guildhall, and each company can be a member of one of the six Guilds:

- The Guild of Artisans

- The Guild of Artists

- The Guild of Grocers

- The Guild of Merchants

- The Guild of Warriors

- The Unofficial Guild of Thieves

All citizens are given a feudal rank and an account in the Counting-House into which are paid weekly wages. Statements are usually issued monthly. Read more about our Currency, Ranks and Wages here.
