The Ard-Baron’s Council comprises four Knight-  Councillors, one for each of the United Baronies’ four Knightships (previuosly there were eight). Each Knight-Councillor is elected by the citizens of their respective Knightship. All council business is conducted in accordance with the ancient Rights of the Barony.    The United Baronies also has three Palatinates. Most originated  as previously independent nations that agreed to join the Barony. The United Baronies is now responsible for their economic, diplomatic and defense affairs, but they retain autonomy in all other matters.
