Sedgwick record
David Sedgwick drew his final game with David Malcolm, thereby maintaining his lead to win the Club Championship. This gives Sedgwick an unprecedented 4th successive title and his eighth in all. Many congratulations, David!
The final game in which David Malcolm with the white pieces needed to win, saw Malcolm pressing all the way, but Sedgwick managed to stay firm. Malcolm offered the draw after the time control, Sedgwick accepting on the 'd' of 'draw?'.
