Bank win again Details
Congratulations to Bank of England - Combined Banks and Insurance League champions for 2007/08 season. JTW Cornhill win the Insurance Chess Club Trophy.
Congratulations to Martin Page of ABI/Zurich, winner of the Individual Prize.
Bronowski retained
Geoff Naldrett's was a tough act to follow, as M/C, but Anthony Kent managed it, piloting the Club to retain the Bronowski Trophy with a 100% score. In the final match, away to Commercial, the Club won by 8½-5½; convincing in the end, but not without a few anxious moments!

Tournaments
The Championship contest is little nearer the issue being decided, even though only three results are left, but it has now resolved into a three-horse race. Ian Clavert has finished on 4½/8. His challengers are David Sedgwick 4/7 and Paul Barclay 3/5. Since all the outstanding games involve Paul Barclay, he seems to hold the key.

Having finished last in the 2007 Ratcliff, Martin Page stormed to an emphatic victory in 2008 with 4½/5.
