Pie_Masters Logo

First off i found some images of pies that resembled close to what i was looking for. Then I would have simply drawn a picture based on all the images mixed together. However, i'm not the best drawer starting from scratch. So i traced bits of each, then filled in the gaps and simplified it down, after many tracings, untill I was happy.

The next stage was to trace the image onto paper and run round the outlines with a dark pen. That was so that when i took the image of it to upload to the computer, no I don't have a scanner, it would pick up the lines much better.

Next I opened the drawing in Paint Shop Pro and made all the lines darker. I also cut out everything out arounbd the pie and filled it in black as you can see below. Lastly i cut out everything but the black lines in the pie, so that i could fill them in with solid colours. To suit the black bacfkground I has at that moment i chose to fill the pie in white, with the inside shaded grey.

Now the hard bit was done. I editted out the black area and pasted the image onto a bigger sheet. I then experimented with different shapes till i was happy. I also decided to trim off the corners as you can see in the final version. I already knew what colours the shapes would be filled in with.

Pie Masters comes from the name of a Pro Evolution football team I created a long time ago when the game was new. The logo resembles their kit quite nicely. As for the text, I asked lots of different web designers whether they knew any good sites where i could find different fonts. I was finally lead to http://www.dafont.com where i found the perfect font after a little bit of editing of my own. After that all I had to do was choose the right size and i was done. A long story to a simple logo!
