Helping Hands

This piece was commissioned by the Children’s Hospital Charity, to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the charity. It was based upon the outlines of hands of supporters of the charity, and a sample of the babies and children in the hospital on one day.
Comments:
“A wonderful piece of artwork, a great addition to the hospital, the children are fascinated by the hands.”  Hospital teacher

“This is a beautiful piece of artwork, I love how the adult and children’s hands interlock and create a real ‘togetherness’, very inspiring!” Member of staff

“I think it’s great, I really like it” Patient, Connor, whose hand is included

“It’s lovely to see so many people fascinated by the artwork and trying to match their hands up against the others, it’s beautiful, bold and calming all rolled into one.” Member of the hospital charity staff

Leicester Royal Infirmary

A number of pieces were made for different locations in the new oncology Unit, commissioned by Arts for Health.

Other commissions have been produced for companies, places of worship, and private individuals.
