STATUS of CHURCH FABRIC. The external fabric of the church has suffered from salt air erosion over the years being compounded by the use of local green stone in the construction. In the past several bad areas of erosion have been restored with the use of high quality Bath stone. Currently no funds are available to treat new areas of decay, (within the last fifteen years).

Most of the Nave roof has been retiled some twenty years ago, with some reflooring some fifteen years ago. The internal fabric of the church is in reasonable condition, and has been well cared for by the PCC. Several improvements have been made to the church fixtures over the years since its construction, Addition of Lady Chapel in the North aisle, Nave Altar, and Enhancement of the Walker Pipe organ.
