Very popular with
students and other young pub-goers, and used to be good for cheap cocktails to
get you plastered. Then it closed towards the end of the 90s , and until very
2002 you could clearly see evidence of the old Watershed signs on the side of
the building on Pound Lane (see the photos). Our photos show evidence of it
being called Riverside Cocktail Bar after being the Watershed, but we don't
remember this.
The building remained
empty until late-2002, when it reopened as Element 5 restaurant. More recently
it has become a restaurant called the Riverside.
