Most of our songs tend to have modern lyrics but the music has a period  1930s country blues feel to it. In this song some how the process seems to be reversed. The music has stylish modern jazz chords but the lyrics are very traditional in content.

1) Going back to Louisiana gonna find me a lovin' man (twice)

Gonna leave bad times behind walk till my feet are sore

All the folks round Grandma's house don't need no city law

2) Sun is setting down behind and I'm throwing in my hand(twice)

Tired of hustling in Houston town, sick of working for the man

Sun is setting down behind and I'm throwing in my hand

3) Left my home in the delta swamp but I'm heading back again ( twice)

Still the same old dusty road , way down the Ponchatrain

Left my home in the delta swamp but I'm heading back again
