The hansom cab that smelt of new leather is gone.
Once, and only once did he smile but now the gin is all that resembles
Her chamfered time.
The flowered oak boards of foot-worn lime
And the bent cane chair she sits upon
Are cold, a tuba plays a ragtime tune
Vänta! vem är det ? Nej, know
You will be gone in a day or so
Below a fan of silken lace they stare at your body
But not your face
Like looking at a sky without moon
