When I was a young boy of only 11 years of age, my family lived in a small village called Stroat in Gloucestershire (very close to the border to South Wales).

My father was of Czech origin and used to travel to work on various motorcycles over the years. One memory that is still very clear to me, is the day he taught me to ride his current motorcycle in the fields around our cottage. Needless to say, it was a JAWA!

Little did I know, that in years to come, I too would be riding a JAWA to work!

In these pictures (left-right) is myself and my younger brother John. The grown-ups are my mother and father back in 1965. It was not until the year 2000 when my brother unearthed these photographs whilst caring our parents declining health, did I at last discover some very important, but missing details. For years I used to wonder what model JAWA Dad had back then, and what was the registration mark. Now with the discovery of these photograph all was revealed. An early 60's Model 353!

Dedicated to the loving memory of our parents:

Onorina Angela Caterina Mager 1927 to 2003

Franz Josef Johann Mager 1921 to 2005

Now not with us physically, but in our hearts and memories forever.
