We took a slightly different route in 2008 to the one in 207. In 2008 we cycled along Lock Ness to Fort William and through the mountainous Glen Coe pass; then along by Lock Lomond and missing the built up part of Glasgow by going over the Erskine Bridge; on to Carlisle and Kendal; then keeping to the west of the country, going through Cumbria, Lancashire Greater Manchester, Cheshire, West Mercia and over the M48 Severn Bridge to Dundry.

In 2007 we chickened out of cycling through Dartmoor because of the steep hills mile after mile, so in 2008 we tackled them.
