Junior

Our lessons are aimed at teaching children from the age of five swimming skills and water confidence. They develop through a structured approach from basic swimming skills, progressing on to learn to swim all the strokes competently before then learning to train which is the first step towards the competitive squads, synchronised swimming or water polo. The key objectives of the Learn to Swim section include teaching the children self confidence and basic safety in the water.

The size of the class will generally be between 8 and 12 depending on the skills and ability of the children with all teachers holding an ASA Teachers or Assistant Teachers qualification. In accordance with Child Protection Rules and ASA Guidelines all of our poolside teaching and coaching staff have been through Criminal Records Board checks.

Adults

We hold teaching sessions for adults looking to develop their swimming skills but who are not sufficiently competent to take part in the Masters Squad training sessions. As with the younger members, the sessions are designed to improve confidence and swimming skills with the option being available to move into the Masters section if appropriate.
