PROFILE

Enthusiastic, hardworking and creative, I am a friendly, easy going person who has the ability to work well in a team or independently. I have gained experience of this through working at university making and designing glass work. I am a reliable, responsible and flexible team worker, I am confident and quick to learn and always enjoy new challenges. Effective organisational skills including time management and have the motivation and initiative to complete tasks and solve problems which may arise. I am competent and quick to learn new skills and work well under pressure.

WORK EXPERIENCE

2003 – 2004 The Surrey Institute of Art & Design, University College; Assisting glass
artist Yumi Nozaki in the hot shop making pieces for an exhibition: ‘108 Egos’. Assistance included making puntys, boarding Yumi, blowing and working as a team. I also helped to set up the exhibition and packed up Yumi Nozaki’s glass bowls.

2001 – 2005 CAPITOL HOUSE PRODUCTIONS

Production Assistant

Capitol House Productions are an Audio Visual company specialising in award ceremonies and product launches. In my time with Capitol House Productions I performed a variety of tasks including;
• Working as the senior member of a two person team on production of presentation material for an awards ceremony and post award exhibition. The Direct Marketing Awards are attended by approximately 1500 members of the advertising and design industry. Examples of the work exhibited using our presentations are those by Saachi & Saachi, Diagio, Hewlett Packard and the Royal Mail.
• Office duties including artwork preparation and selection for award presentations, research, filing and assisting the full time production team where required.
SKILLS
• 3 Dimensional Design: Glass blowing, engraving, grit-blasting, grinding and polishing.
• Glass blowing techniques; shard pick-ups, over-lays, graal and mould blowing.
• 2D Design and model making
