| What's
being said about Jeza .. |
|
| Bobby
Bensley on 'Place
by the River' |
| Jeza
has long been a staple artist in the World, Folk, Soft
Rock and Jazz arenas of the Internet world. His continued
popularity as a singer songwriter is well deserved. Writing
songs with a message, yet also with commercial appeal,
is not as easy as many might think. 'Place By The
River' presents a nicely written, well-structured
tune, with a melody that sooths the soul. Featuring great
female harmony vocals and soft strings creates a very
Cajun feel. |
| The
'water flow water flow' chorus conjures up visions of
the Mississippi, flowing by a young man, sitting in the
shade on the muddy banks. The sound of birdcalls and flowing
water fits well in this tune and is far enough back in
the mix as to not be intrusive. Overall, the soundscape
painted by this song creates an emotional response and
makes a connection with me as a listener. The fiddle adds
nicely to the overall sonic qualities of this piece which,
would fit well on many of the more folk/acoustic friendly
stations out there. It would also fit on many of the more
adult contemporary stations and would be an excellent
candidate for use in film. The lyrical content is great
and speaks to how happiness can be found in utter simplicity.
I can hear this song being performed by the likes of the
Sub Dudes or fellow Indie artist Andi Hoffmann and B-Goes.

| on 'How
can I help you?' |
| Some songs just
have a way of reminding you of an artist from the very
first note. That is exactly what happened on my first
listen to 'How can I help you?' by Jeza. My first impression
was of the great Smokey Robinson, with silky smooth vocals,
Jeza presents a ballad for the heart that is sure to move
you. This song will transport you back to a time and wondrous
place, How can I help you? on a regular basis. A refreshing
piece that is nicely arranged and produced, and has that
old r'n'b feel to it, that is perfect for holding that
special lady in your life close as you dance through a
romantic and candlelit evening. Jeza is a diverse artist
with music in several genres, all of which is worthy of
a listen |
