Artwork of Carolyn Hawkes
Waves
I have
used the passage of waves as a
metaphor for man's journey through life. Water, quantum and
gravitational waves
are deflected and distorted as they travel, just as man's pathway is
influenced
by external factors. The inspiration for these artworks derives from
the
landscape of the North Pennines.
