Activities

The main branch activity centres round the monthly branch meetings where a wide variety of pieces are played through and worked on (see the list further down the page). In addition to the monthly meetings however, there are often other activities, for example at the moment a small group of members (called 'flauto dolce') is involved in giving concerts to primary school children on North Tyneside (picture). It has also become traditional to perform Christmas carols for charity, in 2003 this was in aid of muscular dystrophy (picture).
