What do we do?
Our section holds regular
monthly meetings at a pub in north Leicestershire. In
addition, we enjoy a variety of events throughout the year,
from convoy runs, karting, track days and Concours d'Elegance,
to quizzes, skittles nights and visits to interesting motoring
venues.
As you'd expect, we actively support all of the big AROC events
and organise our own: MITCAR (Midlands Italian Car
Day). We also link up with other AROC sections and
other car clubs
for gatherings, including trips to race meetings involving Alfa
Romeos. 2006, 2007 and 2008 also saw special trips over to Italy. Have a look at our regularly updated
Event Calendar for more details.

 |
How do I join the section?
All we ask is that you are a paid up member of the Alfa Romeo Owners
Club. You can join on-line at
www.aroc-uk.com or contact John
Griffiths who can post an application form to you.
THERE IS NO SEPARATE SUBSCRIPTION!
|
 |
How many members are there?
We are a friendly and informal group, covering a very broad range of ages,
always ready to welcome new Alfa enthusiasts. There are around 200 members
in our region (4,000 in the UK) and we usually have between 15 and 30 people along to our regular
monthly meetings, with more than 20 Alfas attending them in the summer.
|
 |
Where and when are
the meetings?
We meet on
the second Wednesday of the month at The Bull's Head in Thringstone (LE67
8LR). The pub is easily found on the A512 between Ashby-de-la-Zouch and
Loughborough. The pub has a very large car park, and we have our own
reserved area indoors for the
darker (or wetter!) evenings.

 |
What Alfas are owned?
As you will see from our photo gallery, a very wide variety! One of the
beauties of the club is the breadth of machinery it includes, everything
from classics such as Spiders, Alfasuds, Giuliettas, Alfettas and Bertone
Coupes to 164s, 155s and 75s, the newer '916' GTVs and Spiders, 147s, 156s and 166s, right
through to GTs, Breras, 159s and the brand new MiTo. New members with interesting cars are joining up all the time.
See Photo Gallery for lots of pictures of our cars.
We also enjoy support from some terrific Alfa Romeo dealers and
independent specialists in our region. |

How to
find The Bull's Head
Link to MultiMap.com
(You may need to zoom out!)
During the winter months we gather inside at the Bull's Head in a reserved
area, but on the
lighter (dry!) evenings we tend to congregate in the car park near our cars.
Ask the
friendly bar staff where we are if you are struggling to find us when you
get there.
For your SatNav, the Post Code is LE67 8LR
