| Skye appears now, with more images than previously ever thought possible, as Exhibition 2. Here, as ever, we forge ahead with things new; I recently borrowed a week out of real life and took the Guzz off to Wales and then Cornwall - days of sun and heat and not a drop of rain. ![]() |
![]() I have pleasure in introducing Duncan to these pages. I was at school with Duncan who, coincidentally, now also owns a Moto Guzzi - a Centauro. M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() We rode from Sussex to his home in Wales, and called in to Gloucester Cathedral. Marvellous quiet space filled with soft chewy light - a sort of omnipresent Elmar. M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() Duncan's home. Well - although I'd be happy with the shed, his actual house is to the right. M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X We had a fabulous couple of days riding - out in the wind and hills, then I left for Cornwall; down through the Brecon Beacons, over the Severn Bridge (wonderful on a bike) and, via the A39 (Porlock Hill and all), to Boscastle where my son Tom lives. He took me on a few walks. ![]() Path above Crackington Haven M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() Hot days, warm evenings. Tom and I walked on the cliffs until it was dark. Fuji F10 ![]() On my own again, after leaving Tom, happy as can be with a wedge of Holsworthy cheese and an apple. And Bread. And tomatoes. And a pack of air-dried ham. But no beer. M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() The usual; a shed of agricultural origin, somewhere near Sheepwash. M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() Aha! This is more like it - a tractor with many tales to tell. Not terribly intreresting tales to the unconcerned majority, but for those of us that hearken backwards, this tractor small-talk is riveting. M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() A lovely subject rather dissapointingly photographed by yours truly... M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X Such a shame. The light into and across; perfect. Receding hills, and the quiet herd of cows turned out after milking getting to grips with the evening's work... And I botched the exposure. Or else I could have wandered down a bit and filled the frame in a more cow-like fashion... Never mind. This is on Pete's farm (Kay's brother). ![]() And this is Kay's brother (Pete), having cleaned up the yard. M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() Then back home. The plum tree has leaves on it this year as picked out in the ludicrously early sun. M2 Elmar 35mm Tri-X ![]() And, finally, a composition in grasses. This is my current favourite and I really like it printed at A3+ on Archival Matte paper. It's taken with my new old lens, and it may or may not lead me on towards my goal which is to relax about the how and just get on with it all! M2 Summaron (2.8), HP5 in Perceptol That's more than enough. Top of page |
