We first had Mr Darcy as a pet in April 2000 when he was 8 weeks old. I have never had a dog before, so I did not know what to expect.. As I grew to love having a dog around the house we decided to have another one. In August 2001 along came Whisper who had been trained for the ring. I decide to train and show Whisper myself, I found a local dog club who had training evenings and went along.
Whisper and I soon started to go to dog shows together and she did really well. She has had numerous 1st, 2nd and 3rds in various classes, numerous Best of Breeds in open shows and has now qualified for Crufts 2003 in both the Post Graduate and Open classes.
In June 2002 Whisper had a litter of four puppies, 1 Black & 3 Black & Tans all were bitches, when born 3 were 8 ounces and 1 was 9 ounces. Two have gone to show homes and the other two have gone as pets. I shall be keeping a keen eye on the two that will be shown which should be in January 03.
What started out to be just having a pet at home, grew into a hobby and now I think that it is a little more, I do all my own grooming. |
