Handel on Edge Hill

Last year's Mozart Requiem, also with the London Mozart Players, was a success beyond anybody's expectations. More than 750 packed into the Church on what must surely have been one of the coldest nights of the year for a thoroughly uplifting evening of music, raising more than £10,000  for CLIC Sargent in the process. It is hoped that we can continue to provide such marvellous entertainment for the people of Wimbledon over the years to come and we begin with an ambitious programme of music by Handel.

This year's concert, to raise money for the restoration of our own ailing organ, did not disappoint. Over 400 people braved the wettest June weather for some considerable time to attend one of the most ambitious concerts held at Sacred Heart in recent years. Although the accounts have not yet been finalised we are quietly confident that we surpassed even last year's fund-raising efforts.

The costs of such a concert are, of course, significant and in order to continue to provide such high-quality entertainment we are always looking for sponsors. If you can help in any way, please click here.
