Ferrosteph.net A really professional site dealing primarily with rail subjects in Belgium although there is a fantastic archive of photos taken by the onboard webcam of the SBB "My Switzerland.com" loco. French language with some English.

www.railwaymania.com Even if you don't speak the language this Spanish site is well worth a visit to see the many European model and prototype photos.

Euro Train Lines Ed Furst was born in Olten, Switzerland. Although he has lived in Canada and the USA for many years he still has a deep affection for the railways of Switzerland. Ed's site features both model and prototype subjects.

Albulamodell A Swiss German language site featuring a beautiful HOm layout.

Johan's Zwitserleven gevoel A Dutch language site by Johan de Reuver specialising in the BLS but also covering the SBB and RhB. There are many great photos and a modelling section.

la magie du rail A very professional French language site with a vast number of Swiss and other rail-related links.

MAPO's Eisenbahnseite A beautiful site by Maurizio Polier featuring high quality photos and drawings. Maurizio's speciality is the RhB but his site also features many other Swiss railways together with his model railway layouts.

Christophe's Railway World This French language site is dedicated to Christophe Beuret's passion for railways and especially model trains. You will find some photos of a little HO-gauge module but most of the site deals with his N-gauge modelling and prototype trains.

Albulabahn in HOm This website presents Ueli Tscharner's modular layout in 1:87 scale, featuring the most spectacular sections of the RhB narrow gauge line over the Albulapass in Grisons, Switzerland. Compare the photos with the real Albula line in my Berguen-Preda feature......It's unbelievable!

Società Lepontina Ferroviaria Blaine Bachman's N-gauge railroad is part of the FS (Ferrovie dello Stato) system. It carries traffic from Domodossola, through the Toce river valley and Passo San Giaccomo, to Oberwald in Switzerland. The change from Italian to Swiss systems actually takes place at Formazza, in Italian territory. Blaine's website now has a great new look and includes details of his new layout under construction.

MITV An English television and video production company who have produced programmes for international distribution for more than 10 years. They specialise in superb quality Swiss rail travelogues, tourism features and railway enthusiast videos/DVDs. The videos are available in SECAM, PAL and NTSC formats and selected ones are available in French, German, Italian and Japanese as well as English.

RAILSCENES BY OLLIE An interesting site which explores various prototype locations and suggests ways that they can be portrayed in model form. Most are Scandanavian but there is a particularly interesting feature dealing with Blausee-Mitholz on the BLS. The general theme is how the prototype solves the problem of most modellers..... The lack of space!

Re460 travelling webcam The SBB Re460 loco "My Switzerland.com" which is sponsored by Switzerland Tourism is fitted with a webcam and regularly transmits photos from around the network. Can you guess where it is today ? (The future of this webcam is uncertain. In January 2007 all mention of the sponsored loco had been removed from the "My Switzerland" website.)

Kandersteg and Goppenstein. Views of the approach roads to the BLS Lötschberg car-carrying terminals at Kandersteg and Goppenstein. No trains but a good way to see what the weather conditions are like in the mountains. Photos constantly updated.

Zürich Hauptbahnhof Three webcams where you can view the progress of the Zürich Bahn 2000 project. Very interesting especially for those who are familiar with the area.

MOB GoldenPass travelling webcam. Very good picture quality. Montreux-Gstaad-Zweisimmen route.

Das Portal für die Spurweite N. Informative German language site. Frequently updated with details of all the latest N-gauge releases.

http://www.spurweite-n.de/ Another excellent German language site. Basically a database showing all the N-gauge models ever produced. An invaluable source of reference.

Schanielberg A nice looking site, mainly written in Portuguese, where you can follow the progress of Luis Daniel Lopes as he constructs his compact N-gauge layouts. After a spell of North American modelling Luis is currently working on his "Schanielberg" European layout.

Altburgbahn This HO gauge layout built by the late Geoff Money from Canada is a freelance approach to modelling the Lake Constance area of Germany and is one of my particular favourites. It has appeared in Continental Modeller magazine (December 1997), Railroad Model Craftsman, and holds the honour or being one of only two European layouts ever featured in Model Railroader magazine (March 1996). It was also featured in the February 2002 MIBA journal. It does not have it's own website but I would really recommend visiting the following sites where photos and information can be found.

www.worldrailfans.org One of the most popular areas on the site is the RAILWAY DISCUSSION FORUM where you can join visitors from around the world to discuss just about anything to do with railways. There is also specific information for modellers of the railroads of the USA, and those of the railways of Germany.

ASOCIACIÓN DE AMIGOS DEL FERROCARRIL DE MADRID The Spanish language site of a group of rail enthusiasts from Madrid. There are details of the group's preservation projects and reports of their visits to other European countries. Many interesting photos.

European Railway Server - RailfanEurope.net Comprehensive site covering most European railways. Well worth a visit. Many photo galleries.

Répertoire des sites ferroviaires French language railway links site. Useful and easy to navigate.

Maestro's Hobby Corner Although not specifically a rail related site Maestro's Hobby Corner is well worth a visit if only to see the diverse and interesting subjects covered.

"SHARPO'S WORLD" A real nostalgia site featuring steam power in the UK and on the Iberian Peninsular. Lovers of trams and vintage motor vehicles are also catered for.

OLLIE'S TRAINSTUFF Another site from Ollie with photos of Swedish and Norwegian motive power.

Working on a N-track John Griffioen's mainly Dutch language site which also contains prototype photos of trains and trams from around Europe. John is currently adding English translation to many of his pages.

Sean Fanelli's Train Page This site shows Sean's mainly Märklin layout with several HAG engines and one or two Roco, Morep and Brawa AC HO models. It contains descriptions, pictures and diagrams of the layout as well as links to other sites.
