Microsoft Office: Working with graphics

There are two basic types of graphics that can be use to enhance MS Office documents:
  • Drawing objects, which include AutoShapes, curves, lines, freeforms, and WordArt drawing objects.
  • Pictures, which  include clipart images and photographs.
The Draw Toolbar: provides access for creating, changing and enhancing objects, including colors,
patterns, borders, and other effects.

To draw shapes and lines:

  1. Select the appropriate tool.
  2. Click and drag to create that shape.
Hint: Press the Shift key while doing the click and drag operation to create proportional shapes
(for example: perfect circles instead of elipses.)
