Configure the Windows95/98 VPN Connection

We need to define 2 connections:

1) Via the Dialup-Adapter (using your modem) to the Internet:

Configure this connection in its properties for TCP/IP protocol
(and any other required setting, like: a dialin script):

Since we do NOT access a File-server
via the TCP/IP protocol on the Internet,
there is no need to "Log on to Network"



2) Via the Dialup-Adapter #2 (VPN) to your VPN-server:

Make sure to select as device the "Microsoft VPN Adapter".
In the next screen, you will now be prompted for the
Host name or IP address of the VPN-server:

You MUST enter something, so if you do not yet now the IP-address of your VPN-server,
then just enter a name or any IP-address, so that you can continue.

Configure then in the Properties of this connection the protocol to be used to connect
to the VPN-server (in this example: NetBEUI):
