Another title for Millie Tomlinson.
This outstanding young squash player, coached by Paul Hargrave at Duffield Squash Club, has just won the Nottingham Open under-19 title. In the final Millie, still only 16, defeated the number one seed Kimberley of Cumbria by three games to one.

We have another outstanding school
Pupils and staff at a Duffield school are celebrating after a government inspection found theirwork was “outstanding.” William Gilbert Endowed Primary was awarded the highest possible mark following a one-day visit from Ofsted earlier this month.

They went off to Morocco
It was a life changing experience for 20 students from Ecclesbourneas they trekked into the Nomadic parts of Morocco.

Steve Croot opens his farm shop
Anew farm shop featuring some of the tastiest products from around the county is now open. Hundreds of people went to the opening of Croots Farm Shop & Kitchen at Farnah House Farm, Wirksworth Road, Duffield, which stocks a wide range of local produce as well as speciality items from further afield.

John White and his wife Pauline looked suitably delighted and extremely smart - no sign of a track suit or golfing attire here - as they went to Buckingham Palace to receive John’s award of the MBE.
