ROCK TUNES THAT REALLY ADD UP

Plymouth's finest math-rock roustabouts, and What's On cover stars, Arthur Walker, launched their latest EP at The Hub a couple of weeks back. Don't get angry 'cos you missed the show though - you can hear the EP, called I Am A Skull And I Am Evil in full on myspace right now.

Recorded at Plymouth's Deep Blue Sound Studios and angular as a bag of set squares, the tunes worm their way into you head, pitch their tents and decide to stay for the foreseeable. But, you know, in a good way.

Band members Steven Stones, Stephen Spratt, Jonathan Derwent and Drew Ellison establish their kooky credentials early on by listing their influences on Myspace as 'dirt' and 'cake' and naming themselves after an English mathematician and an Americal Astro-Physicist.

They're off to Bristol on October 4, to play UWE Student Union, but are back in Plymouth at Voodoo Lounge on October 11. Listen to their EP at myspace.com/arthurwalker.
