News Ticker

By making the scroller loop continuously we can make a nice news ticker. The scroller will stop when you mouseover it to allow links to be clicked on. I've also set 2 different content layers for this demo which you can switch between by clicking the UK and World buttons. There's no limit to the number of content layers you can have - the behavior is smart enough to switch the layers as needed.

Of course in the real world you'd probably want to use some asp/asp.net to tie this ticker into an XML data source or an RSS feed. You can pull your news content from wherever you like and just place it in one or more layers.

To build the page I just made the graphics in Photoshop and used layers to position them . The layout and script work in all version 4 and better browsers - the only thing that doesn't work in NN4 on this page is the FP swap image behavior - unfortunately it's not supported by NN4.
