Frederic c. 18 Apr 1839 St Benedict Glastonbury SOM |
William (senior) was previously married (15 Nov 1814) to Rose Naish. They had at least two children, Charles chr. in 1815 and Stephen born in 1819. Rose died in 1820 aged 39.
Occupations found are William (junior) as an Agricultural Labourer (1851) and later just as a Labourer (worked on the railway' according to Phyllis his granddaughter) and Henry as a Coal Haulier in 1851.
The birth place and dates for most of the children have been estimated from later census records. Assuming that William and Mary lived in Glastonbury, which seems reasonable from the evidence, it appears that none of the children apart from Frederic were christened as there are no entries in the records of either church in Glastonbury.
