The family lived at Pipards Hill in Basing at the 1851 census and William (senior) was an Agricultural Labourer.
Henry was a labourer when he married Mary. Later in 1871 and 1881 the census returns record
him as a 'labourer in cement' living at 33 Temple St, Strood KEN
Also in the church register for Basing is the marriage of Emily Cooper (age 22) to James Everard on 14 Aug 1868. Her father was William Cooper, a labourer, but no record of her christening is recorded. It appears probable that she is a daughter of William and Charlotte, but was not christened for some reason.
