HOW DID YOU START OFF JUNIOR HANDLING?

My gran bred a litter of weimaraners and we sold them all but one had tocome back to us. We took it to dog training classes and several peoplesaid he was show quality! And that’s how it all began!

DO YOU TAKE PART IN ANY OTHER DOGGY ACTIVITIES (OBEDIENCE,AGILITY,FLYBALL,ETC)?

I have had agility lessons and done some obedience but I tend to concentrate on breed showing and Handling at the moment

HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU LIVE WITH,OWN AND/OR SHOW?

I live with two dogs, a weimaraner called Pink and a collie cross calledtess. My gran has the other two weims, Blue and Lucy. (only show blueand pink) I don’t own any of them in my own name as it is easier (..andcheaper!) for show entries!

WHICH ONES DO YOU USE FOR JUNIOR HANDLING AND WHY?

I use both Blue and Pink

WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN BEFORE IN COMPETITION?

Weimeraners, briards, irish setters, cockers, pointers, boxers, GSP’s, papillions, vizla

TELL US ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE (SHOWING STYLE) YOUR BREED IN JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES?

You have to stack the dog and move at quite a fast pace on a loose or tight lead, depending on the dog

WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY WEAR IN COMPETITION?

A smart trouser suit which compliments the colour of the dog but doesnt blend in.

WHAT ARE YOUR BEST ACHIEVEMENTS?

4^th at Richmond 2006 (42 entered!!), 3^rd CRUFTS 2007, Blue winning YKC gundog stakes Final at Crufts 2007, Pink gaining her JW 3rd at Richmond 2007, 1st YKC gunodg handling at crufts 2008, National Show Handler Of The Year 2008.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE OCCASION SO FAR?

Showing in the BIS ring for the YKC stakes final just before best in show! YKC camp 2006! more recently it would be winning National Show Handler Of The Year 2008.

When judges don’t have a clue what their doing.
