26th March 2005 BEAGLE CLUB OPEN Judge - Helen Warner IT WAS a pleasure to be asked to judge junior handling at the Beagle open show. 6-11 years 1. Lucy Hankey, the handler’s young dog showed good control, allowing the handler and dog to complete pattern work smoothly. 2. Lauren Finch, the dog moved well but not very settled on the day, so the dog and handler did not move as well together as 1. 12-16 years 1. & BJH Rhian McLoughlin, handled dog well kept eye on myself and has good control and finished off patterns correctly. 2 Rachel Finch, well handled and had good control and carried out all patterns correctly. Very hard decision to make between 1 and 2 because both handlers carried out what was asked of them but my 1 had the edge on their pattern work. |
